1-Day Samburu Safari Itinerary

Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu National Reserve

  • Pick-up early morning from Nairobi hotel/airport

  • Drive to Samburu National Reserve (Approx. 5–6 hours) or fly from Wilson Airport (Approx. 1 hour)

  • Enter the reserve and enjoy a game drive en route to your lodge/camp (if staying)

  • Spot Samburu’s “Special Five”: Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk

  • Picnic lunch by the Ewaso Nyiro River

  • Afternoon game drive with chances to see elephants, lions, and leopards
